Ivica Vukadin was born on the 28th of September 1955 in Zagreb. He grew up in a family of artists, thus he became familiarized with art from an early age. His elder brother taught him how to sculpt. After education he went to Germany and then to Holland, where he decided to become a sailor on transatlantic ship. He sailed around Africa, Asia and Europe, where he got to know different cultures which influenced his art. He has been painting, designing wooden jewellery and lamps for years but during the last 10 years he has been intensively sculpting. He is using a rare technique of thermal metalworking combined with fine chiseling. Croatian olive tree is his favourite material when working in wood. He combines traditional motives with futuristic design. He is a member of several art associations. For the city of Zapresic he made "Takeoff", a public sculpture which was 2001. placed in front of the local high scool. He has exhibited alone (Community Art Learning Center Zapresic, City Museum in Novalja, City Library in Zadar...) and jointly several times, in Zagreb, but also all over Croatia.
